Message from Mark - see you there!
'I was lucky to grow up on a farm and so cycled regularly from an early age. My real adventures started aged 12, when I cycled across Scotland. This gave me the confidence to go on to solo John O'Groats to Lands End aged 15. However, now aged 25 it is only in the past few years that I have cycled professionally in order to take on my greatest challenge yet - the Guinness World Record for cycling around the world, which I broke by 81 days in February 2008. Whether commuting, getting fit, seeing the world or all of these, cycling is an unbeatable experience. I still cycle because it is a passion and it is fantastic to more and more people of all abilities getting out and cycling. Get Active Loch Lomond is a great chance to 'get active' this summer and I look forward to seeing you there'

Where to meet for the activity
Maid of the Loch paddle steamer, next to the Duncan Mills Memorial slipway in Balloch. The Maid of the Loch is 10 minutes walk from the main festival hub at Loch Lomond Shores. It's recommended that you park at Loch Lomond Shores and leave enough time to walk to the Maid of the Loch. Lunch can be taken on the Maid of the Loch, so plan some time before or after the talk with Mark to enjoy some lunch on-board this historic vessel.
